"Huey Lewis & The News are basically a bar band made good. They made some tremendous albums, but it is their live shows that show the full power of the band. This is a live show from 1984 when the band was on the verge of breaking out big time. The show is a great collection of tunes from Picture This & Sports and they put on an energetic and lively performance. The band avoids any type of stage show and sticks to what they do best, straight-ahead music that mixes rock, pop and r&b. Standout performances include "Change Of Heart", "Heart & Soul", an acapella version of The Impressions "It's Alright", "Do You Believe In Love", a hard rocking and manic "Working For A Livin'" and a funky "Buzz Buzz Buzz". Mr. Lewis shows off his harmonica skills on an extended solo that merges into the show closing "Bad Is Bad". It is a real treat for any News fan to see the band in their young and aggressive days and this DVD is a must for any fan of the band."
Harmonica Lovers.....you'll love this one

"I saw Huey Lewis and the News in Seattle, right around the time this concert was filmed. I loved his concert. The music will get your heartbeat going strong (opening song..Heart of Rock n Roll). The video quality is quite good on this dvd, the sound is good, but not like concerts recorded in this era. Huey plays an excellent harmonica for quite a bit in a few songs. He's fun to watch on stage, in the prime of his life, and the band is flawless. Camera angles and shots on stage were done well.If you enjoy Huey Lewis and the News, this is a must for your collection."

"This is a VHS of HLN playing at the very best & height of their career. All the hits are here from ''Heart of rock n roll'', ''Do you believe in Love'' & and ''I want a new drug''. Along with great songs such as ''Change of Heart'' ''Don't make me do it'' and a special a cellpa version of ''It's Alright''. There is 2 encores to this special concert. Before the 2nd encore, Huey comes out and plays his Harp for 2 1/2 - 3 minutes, then the band goes into ''Bad is Bad''. This is a wonderful tape for any Huey Lewis & The News fan."
Essential for a HLN fan...

".. but a few disappointments. First the video quality is sub par for a DVD in my opinion. Second, the video is marred by terrible-looking titles displayed for several seconds on each song--wouldn't have minded it if they were smaller and in a better font. Also Huey's singing on "Heart and Soul" at the beginning is drowned out for some reason. All of this is probably due to the original broadcast and couldn't be helped, but I just couldn't give it 5 stars. That being said there are numerous good points: Huey's harp solo, a short drum solo before "Workin for a Living", an uptempo version of "Bad is Bad" (different than the version on Sports), good camera work, and good audio quality (aside from "Heart and Soul"). Definately an essential for a Huey Lewis and the News fan!"
