"This is the very last concert HL did (at least as of this writing). Excellent performance, 16x9 aspect which is perfect for HDTVs. Good use of camera work and the sound quality is excellent using Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound (you can appreciate the instruments and vocals taking advantage of the Home Theater experience).
As a sidebar, I often wonder if a quality piece like this will be available in high definition (1080i or 1080p). It needs to be because it seems very apparent throughout the show that this would be the very last concert HL will ever do... and too a degree you sense that emotion during the concert.
It certainly is a celebration of: the Human League, the talent that came from Sheffield and the creativity of the New Wave movement in the early '80s. A very fun DVD.
The bonus area includes pictures from the last tour, a home made camcorder take on behind the scenes... but the thing that sells the extras is the interview (almost an hour long). If you never seen an interview of the HL, this would be an excellent start. I've seen several interviews of them through the years and the thing that always strikes me is that their story is always consistent and honest. You definitely leave that segment with the idea of how real and "human" the Human League really are.
If you've ever liked the Human League, you need to get this live DVD. You'll be glad you did."

"A long time fan of the League,i have waited years to see a live concert. One would expect that an electronic or synth band wouldnt be so hot live...well the League are in a class all of their own, excellent from start to finish with a Brilliant intro of Hard Times/Love Action only minor gripe is that Joanne doesnt seem to feature as much as Susan and Phillip in the visuals but its made up for in the excellent performances by all three. Great extras too including interviews, photos, and montage of behind the scenes footage of the Usa tour.

"Definitely a must have for Human League fans! Being predominately a group that uses synthesizers on most of their songs with nicely polished studio sessions, one would think a "Live" concert might not translate well.......WRONG! Their synth instruments on stage sounded excellent and the guitar rifs on "Electric Dreams" and "The Lebanon" showed their more "Rockin" side. This DVD has lots of hits which will appeal to folks who just like their more popular material. Rare tracks like "Darkness", "The Things that Dreams are Made of", and "Empire State Human" were an awesome addition! Susan Sulley's solo version of "One Man in My Heart" played with just guitars like a folksy ballad worked well and was an unexpected surprise, as the League is not known for a "Folk music" type of sound on any of their songs.
A big added bonus on this CD is a long interview with the Human League together, then a solo interview with just Philip Oakey. A big Thumbs up on this one!"
