Movie Reviews

Really Good Documentary
mistermaxxx@yahoo.com | usa | 08/28/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"this DVD is really cool because it shows what a Manager does within the Music Business in the Land of Hip-Hop. also shows the A&R Department&also goes into detail about Budgets for Projects. I was hoping to see the Points a Artist gets per release&also the reaction of Artists through these meetings. but this is a Pretty Good documentary on the Corperate World of Hip-Hop Music.alot of Politics&Decision making."
Excellent documentary behind the scenes

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I plan to show this to my high school juniors/seniors, hoping they can work past the occasional f-bomb, as the presentation of the manager, A&R rep and other industry elites far outweighs the foul language. In particular we see smart, focused, professional young African-Americans making on-point decisions for their clients, putting in the long hours and dedication it takes to make themselves and their clients successful. Very well done. -- PC, Chicago"
