Movie Reviews

Waste ot Money and Time (no pun intended)
A. M. H. Terhorst | Belgium | 08/02/2005
(1 out of 5 stars)

"Total waste of time and money. Having to listen to the self-indulgent comment of band member from Mostly Autumn (not really the greatest band in the world, are they?) and a few "rock journalists", giving 'star ratings' to Floyd albums, really takes a lot ( a LOT) of patience.

The title is totally misleading: it's not critical; it's not even a review!. It's noting more then a rip-off!

Avoid this one....avoid this one as plague, unless you want to spend a lot of money of a Frisbee.

Pleasant, A Fun Watch

"If you are a Floyd fan this is a pleasant diversion. It is far from definitive and the 'experts' are as good as you and I (if you are a Floyd fan).

With that said, it's a fun watch (I did from start to finish).

I think the real value for this is probably in the $15.99 range, not the $35 range. For all except the truly avid fan, I'd pass on this. Two stars because of the value."
Do not buy

It is a good history of Floyd

"I can understand some of the negative comments of other viewers, but I found the DVD a good historical re-cap of Floyd to include some back-stage shots I had not previously seen. I enjoyed some of the goodies that come in the DVD.

There are no earth-shattering revelations to those who know Floyd. Yes, we know about Syd and David vs. Rogers, etc. etc. However, someone not from my generation that is just getting into Floyd may find some of this DVD interesting.

I don't think the producer intended the DVD set to be a compilation of Floyd, however. I think that it is worth the price of $30 to gain a bit of insight. I don't think it is overly remarkable but it was very interesting to me, nevertheless.
