The infinite loop became pretty repetitive and annoying.

Looper is a refreshingly consistent sci fi film based on a specific premise that does not allow itself to get distracted. This is uncommon with many of today's sci-fi movies. By spending less time explaining the 'tech' behind time travel, and focusing more on the dynamic of how time travel would affect the same person co-existing in timelines, we are provided with an entertaining concept for a movie. Sure, traveling back in time to meet one's self has been done in movies before, but Looper creates its own unique setting and terminology that feels like credible sci-fi.
