Movie Reviews

Great Date Flick! Hot to tell if she is psycho!
Michael J. Brister | Lafayette, LA | 05/22/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Hot to tell if your girl friend is psycho. If she fits the mold of Brigette Wilson, run for the hills. This movie was a downright laugh riot. I know a few women that did not find this movie funny. At the same time I noticed that psycho look in their eye. Must have hit a sore spot with them. It was nice to see a refreshing comedy like this concidering all the teenie-bopper love comedies and old-fogie love stories (like Richard Gere). Finally a love story for the people between 19 and 40! The commentary is enjoyable as well with Stewart, Wilson and the Writer/Director, is funny as well. This is not just a comedy, it is a warning sign to men everywhere!"
Help me up from this chair... I can't stop laughing!!

"This one caught me by surprise. I've always wanted to see Stewart French in movie and caught this on the satellite one night. I laughed till I cried. I watched it 2 more times that night and then I went online with Amazon and bought the DVD!Bridgette Wilson and Stewart French do a great job with this underrated dose of comedy! Everyone I've shown this movie to agrees that it has extraordinary "entertainment value"! I have discovered one thing however... it is not to be viewed by everyone. Just a warning - DO NOT show this movie to a couple about to get married!! OOOHHH yeah... The movie watching "comfort zone" can become a little tense if you do!This was a great movie that I would recommend to all of you with a true "funny bone"! A sense of humor and an open mind about relationships is required when watching this one!"
Love Stinks is a great date movie...

"This feature just has that campy, date flick style written all over it. Two people joined in the institution of dating take a severe turn into disaster when one is ready for marriage immediately and the other is just getting started. The entire film takes a lot of silly twists and turns into a very comical ending that just sends it over the top. Good movie for a couple thinking of getting engaged or divorced!"
Always a bridesmaid, never a bride

"Read the above summary if you want a synopsis. I'll just say that this is one of the best comedies I've seen in awhile! Bridgette Wilson and French Stewart give outstanding performances, as do Bill Bellamy and Tyra Banks in their supporting roles. These actors and actresses have what it takes to bring this dating disaster story to life. If you enjoyed "Meet the Parents", you'll probably love this movie! I hope to add it to my collection soon!"
