Movie Reviews

Wow - no disappointment here!
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I've been a Manowar fan since 1982. It's been over 20 years but now we finally have a high quality live show on video from these guys. The audio and video quality are absolutely top notch.
I was a little disappointed with their first commercial video release, "Hell on Earth Part 1," but I have to say that "Hell on Earth Part 2" is excellent.
Whether you take this group seriously or not, you have to admire their dedication to their fans and to their unrelenting standards. No other group I'm aware of appreciates their fans as much as Manowar. It's a shame they don't have a larger following in USA - maybe I'd get to see them live out here on the west coast if they did..."
If you're a Manowar fan, this is it!

"This Dvd is a lot better than "Hell on Earth part 1" was. It has a lot less of the chauvanist garbage on that, and features MUCH more music, and has the band talking more than the roadies for a change. It not only has the ENTIRE Monsters of Rock '98 performance, but other performances from their recent tours. Awesome and highly worth it."
The greatest Manowar dvd, power and strength in top form.

"This is a great work of heavy metal. The band's power is presented very well with lots of good quality performances from the band's prime years, and the additional material is all good. Alot of video footage from the same recordings of the live Hell on Stage live cd, their greatest works of their classic era are chronicled here.

-disc 1 takes footage from various concerts and adds introductions and some commentary from the band about the signifigance of the song or specific performance. Some great comments are given by guitarist Karl Logan especially.
-disc 2 is a full concert in south america and some passionate commentary about the concert and the entire legacy of Manowar from a journalist. The extra material here was something i was sceptical of, seemingly useless, but it turned out to be very satisfying. I declare myself a true fan of the group after taking in all of these experiences.

I own the 1st and 4th Manowar dvds, both of which have too much talking, too much wasted time. On the first dvd, the sound quality isn't very consistant or good, and on the 4th, the song selection and performance quality drops dramatically. I believe that Fire and Blood is really the band in it's prime. The sound quality and visual spectacle is very well done here.
It is a dvd that may open the eyes of the ignorant to the often unheard gems of manowar's career (the songs Gates of Valhalla, Bridge of Death, Guyana, excellent bass and guitar solo spots)

i often feel sorry that many people do not know much about Manowar, or that they only see the cheesy and brutish aspects of the band. This dvd captures some of the true spirit that the band should be known for, true heavy metal power and majesty. HAIL AND KILL and so on, Manowar is truly great.

"I cannot seem to get away from the childish and amusing comments made by this 'Thor' reviewer, This is an awesome and worthwhile Manowar classic,

Just as i manage to get over the comments made by this ignaramous on the excellent louder than hell cd, here he is again as hysterically funny(if entirely innacurate) as ever! What a guy!

The dvd is excellent and the band are once again in tip top form. his comments made about the american fans being less inclined to be 'fooled' by manowars 'gimmick'. are frankly hilarious, his presumptious statements made about ManowaRs record sales in the US are neither accurate nor funny, people should not comment on products they have not bought, frankly listened to or even watched. the thor reviewer has clearly not purchased or even watched this dvd from his comments.#

The DVD is a complete package with excellent live performances and backstage footage is is an easy 5 stars on both quality and value
