Re-master "The Master"

"I just bought this DVD today. On the first episode "Max" it starts abruptly and the audio sounds weird but momentarily straightens itself out. The picture quality is not very crisp. I realize that this is an old 1984 TV show, so my expectations of it's clarity were not that high, so I finished the episode "Max" somewhat pleased. The episode "Out Of Time-Step" is by far the worst audio/video synchronization I have on a DVD. It's not that the audio sounds distorted or bad, it's that the audio and the video do not match up, the video plays normal and the audio tries to catch up but never does. This DVD is manufactured by PLATINUM DISC CORPORATION, and is made in Canada. "The Master" was and is an entertaining show, and I happen to be a Lee Van Cleef fan, PLATINUM DISC CORPORATION should do the consumers justice and re-master this DVD the way it should be done. A low price shouldn't equate with low quality...it should be noted, that the consumer will pay more when the quality of the product is standard. I gave this DVD 1 star due to the quality of the DVD, not it's contents. I hope this review of "The Master" on DVD helps you the consumer make a better informed purchase."
Poor quality, but still the Master

"The Master is a great, but short-lived, show from the mid 1980s, influenced by the ninjo boom of that time. This dvd is worth getting if you are a fan, but you have a great deal of technical problems to get over if you are looking for dvd quality.
What is great is that the entire two season series is available now on dvd and the quality is excellent. (THE PRODUCT ABOVE IS NOT THE SERIES) You have to poke around a little to find them, but they are out there and will give you hours of ninja antics.
As an aside, Tim Van Patten, who plays the Master's side-kick, is a very accomplished director with shows like the Sopranos, Sex in the City, Deadwood, Rome and many others to his credit."
