Movie Reviews

A BASHER movie, not a slasher movie!
David Watkins | Los Angeles, CA | 06/30/2009

"Saw Methodic at the Sacramento Horror Film Festival in 2007 and was really impressed by what director Chris R. Notarile was able to do with a small budget. It's a tight story with great suspense, good acting, strong action and some really inventive cinematography.

If you're a fan of indie horror films, you should check out Methodic."
Good reviews must be from cast and crew

"I think Amazon needs to investigate why all the reviews either are 5 stars or 1 star - statisticaly, this is a highly abnormal distribution curve. My theory is that the cast, crew and whoever shelled out the $3,000 to finance this crap are writing themselves good reviews. This theory is furthered by the fact that all the crap movies poduced this same company (I got suckered into buying several different movies by this film company by the "good" reviews) all have numerous 5 star ratings or 1 star ratings.

DO NOT BUY THIS MOVIE. It is absolutely pathetic. A highschool drama club could produce a better movie. It looks like it was shot using a Best Buy 70% off discontinued Camcorder. The lighting is terrible, and there are absolutely no, no, no production values. I can not iterate how bad this movie looks.

Now, on the acting. The cast in this movie shouldn't even be able to get work as extras, much less as actual actors. I rather watch funny pet videos on youtube for an hour and a half than watch these people act, and I hate funny pet videos. The acting in this movie is so bad, I don't think you could even really call it acting.

I still can't believe I bought this movie. DO NOT BUY THIS! The 5 star reviews are fake! This movie sucks!"
A great homage to slasher films of the 70's & 80's

"In the beginning, I thought this was just another rip-off of Haloween...to be honest, the only thing that kept me watching was the strong script and acting...but after a little while, the story took a turn and became something new and really good. It's a great example of the next wave of indie horror films.

Anyone who is a fan of horror films from the 70's and 80's should check out Methodic."
I was convinced Hollywood ran out of ideas this year...

"Tales from the dark side of Jersey...Demonic possession, senseless killing, skull crushing violence and a really hot lesbian scene all for under 30 million dollars.

It's about time Hollywood produced a movie that reflects true creativity...oh wait, this isn't Hollywood. This soon to be a classic horror flick Methodic, tells me there are still creative guys out there that know how to make a movie without a huge budget, famous actors and a pyrotechnic team...Notarile knows what viewers want! A film with panache... scare me!

If you've been watching movies for as long as I have then you'll appreciate director Chris .R. Notarile's horrific perspective in "Methodic". The movie is set right in your own backyard and Notarile captures the essence of what scared us all in the `80s and then fast forwards to the here and now. This is a one of a kind horror flick that will change the way we remember this decade. This is NOT another weekend at Camp Crystal Lake! The Dollman rocks!

As real as it gets....Your pulse will quicken as Methodic gives you just enough to keep you on the edge and in fear of what is yet to come, and you'll think twice about the quiet kid at the birthday party. Don't let the tears fool you either; I don't think this one is over just yet...more please!
