Low budget film from executive producer Brad Pitt. Moonlight won Academy Award Best Picture of the Year, Oscars and many other awards. Pretty gritty storyline that has been told over and over again in movies like Boyz in the Hood but they add a different element to the mix, which I will not spoil for you. I will tell you this, it was mostly sad during most of the movie and this is not a movie that I would ever want to watch again or add to a collection. The use of the N word was excessive and should be outlawed in movies now but it seems that some are exempt from it's use while others are not. My guess is that most of this film was based on real life experiences.
