Movie Reviews

Mortal Kombat : the 2 movies
Jason Schwab | Frederick, MD USA | 03/12/2008

"hello there folks. for those who like to rate this dvd neggatively, just stop and think for a moment.

1 - this dvd is brand new.
2 - while yes it does does have the utter fullscreen instead of widescreen , the picture crips of the film is far better than the old dvd's. which means the picture quality has been improoved.
3 - not every dvd needs special features. footage like that isnt alwasy easy to find even with the directors and the crew.
4 - you get 2 movies for the price of 1. far better than buying 2 dvds seperate.

I totally recommend this dvd for any mortal kombat fan due to the fact that its the brand new release & the picture quality is far better than the previous released old dvd's. you have to remember those dvd's came out in the 90's, so times have changed.

& IF you are a real Mortal Kombat Fan , try waiting this year 2008 for the next instalment in the video game series. and IF you are patient enough to wait until 2010 , you will finally see the release of the next Mortal Kombat film. which they are working their hard efforts to get it made. plus , its been since 1997 since we saw a new Mortal Kombat Movie. its already been 11 years , and 2010 will make it 13 years of silence.

so IF you want the 2 MK films for picture quality and not just crappy special features and widescreen format , then this is just perfect.

and stop rating this neggatively just for no widescreen capabilities and special features. NOT ALL movies need widescreen and NOT EVERY movie looks good widescreen. trust me , there are movies in which widescreen ruins the whole movie.

and trust me , go for the picture being clearer. the old dvd's are out dated and were made sometime in the late 90's, so picture quality for dvd's are far different now then it was back in 1998.

thanks for taking alook , trust me , its worth your money. I wont dissapoint you in that."
Ok if you don't own both already. sad not widescreen.

"Don't know why they packaged both movies together in fullscreen and not widescreen. The only good thing I did notice is the picture quality and video color on the first one does look alot better than the older widescreen version. So if the screen format of the movies don't matter it's worth getting this pack."
