Movie Reviews

I think that women might like this movie too!
Jenifer M | Orange County, CA, USA | 12/22/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This was the first Seduction Cinema video I had ever seen, and I was quite impressed with it. The level of the acting and the quality of the production were much higher than I had expected. There was even a little bit of special effects - and it wasn't overly campy. But what impressed me most about this film was the overall beauty of the women and the quality of their love-making scenes, as well as the maturity of the roles that they were allowed to play. (None of them were required, for example, to act like dumb bimbos, which was really what I was expecting.)

I'd have to agree with another reviewer. Sasha Peralta is a doll with a hot bod' who literally steals the show. She comes out in a black mini-dress which really enhances the view of her already shapely figure. She plays the innocent co-ed sex kitten who is seemingly unaware of the utter sensuality she exudes (right!), and who is having a relationship with her (young and handsome) college professor. And although the most that she does with him in the film is kiss, its her later scenes with the Mummy (Ava Niche, who reminds me of a bustier and brunette version of Meg Ryan) that really demonstrates her passionate side - where kissing each other is the least that they do!

In amongst the interludes with Sasha and Ava, there's a nice segment where two of the students - a blonde and a redhead who fail in their efforts to get better grades by flashing their wares at the professor - get amorous with each other instead. After they lose their clothes, they are mysteriously joined by the Mummy (in her equally in-the-buff human form) who kisses each of them to put them under her spell. It must've been the best kiss that either girl had ever received (since they both fainted straight away) - and the most satisfying kiss that the Mummy has probably given or received in the last two thousand years.

Sasha and Eva rejoin again later in a pool, where they caress each other as water droplets glisten like diamonds upon their skin. The camera gives us a nice view of their cleavages front and rear. But the girls never really leave the water, so not much else happens beyond their shimmering embraces.

The women finally get to consummate their desires when Sasha, under the Mummy's spell, nibbles on Her Highness's ear in the finale, and as the Mummy teasingly kisses down her belly. Eva returns to the sanctity of Sasha's loving arms, as both girls achieve blissful completion by using their hands and wantonly reaching down into each other's molten centers.

The most hilarious portion of the movie comes at the end when the Mummy is defeated and all of the women suddenly become very aware -- and self conscious -- of their toplessness!

Now, I don't want to play up the sexual side of this movie too much, since it really isn't very explicit. Sure, the women kiss, but the don't even use much tongue. They both look terrific naked, and the pecking that they exchange about each other's necks and shoulders, and a little across their breasts, is quite passionate. But any action south of the equator is only implied; and there aren't any splayed chicken shots to write home about, so if you're expecting something more anatomically enlightening, you'll just have to find it someplace else!

Strangely, I think that the lack of revealingness and the girl-only theming of this film (which appears to be the norm in soft porn today) makes this video quite enjoyable. I'm sure that the film was probably intended for men. But I'm also guessing that many women - those who are open to delighting in the beauty of the feminine form - may also like it too. I certainly did. Enjoy.

Not your typical Seduction Cinema movie

"If you are looking to get this movie to see SC staple actresses, don't buy it. This is very much like Erotic Rites of Countess Dracula (even directed by the same person). However, unlike that movie that was only so so, this movie is top-notch. It stars Mia (yes that is a different screen name she uses in this one) and the newcomer Sasha Peralta. She really steals the show as the target of the Mummy's affection. See the plot of this movie is that back in ancient Egypt, the pharoh's daughter (Peralta) fell under the "spell" of an evil sorceress who was in the court. They had many hot get-togethers until they were discovered, and the sorceress was mummified. Fast forward several thousand years, and her body has been found and transported to a local university. Conveniently, her lover's soul has been reincarnated into the professor's daughter. She gets the typical where have I met you before, while the sorceress is attempting to have her lover's soul take over in her body. To help her, she takes control of two REALLY HOT women (Regina Russell and Katie Lohman--Playboy centerfold). Can the boyfriend save the day in time, or will we have many more sex scenes between the two stars? Overall, it is an awesome B-movie, just don't let the SC label fool you. Think of it as a Surrender Cinema movie, RIP we all miss you."
Wasted Time and Money

"When I read a 4 star review of this "film," which is really a video of such poor quality, I could have shot it in high school, I figured, "Why not?" I'm always looking for a decent movie with some lesbian subject matter. There's so little quality material out there, most of which I've seen umpteen times, that I'm willing to give almost anything a shot. So, I gave MUMMY'S KISS a try, and it nearly gave me an aneurism. It was so stunningly awful, I wanted to cry. It's not even on par with the soft core blither they show on CINEMAX. The only good thing about MUMMY'S KISS is that it was short, very short, mercifully so. I wish I could give it no stars and return to a time when I'd never seen it. If you're looking for a fresh, funny and satisfying lesbian-themed flick that's well worth it? SAVING FACE."
Erotic breast-fest!

"I was nicely surprised by this one. Much better than expected. The basic storyline involves an Egyptian sorceress accidentally brought back to life, and who then pursues the girl she sees as her former lesbian love interest from ancient times, the sexy college student Ana (played by Sasha Peralta). Since our sorceress (Ava Niche) has a taste for other females, not men, there are several lesbian encounters along the way. They are nicely filmed, and director Donald Glut was obviously aiming for sensual eroticism as opposed to graphic sex. Mostly just soft kisses on the lips and breasts, but not that explicit. In fact, 'bush shots' were sorely lacking, only a few quick glimpses. If you're one of those who needs to see everything, this one may disappoint you. In other words, there's tons of frontal female nudity, but 95% of it is from the waist up.

Not that that's a bad thing here...there's enough topless hotties to keep even the most jaded viewer at attention (no pun intended). Peralta looks just as good as you would expect an attractive, nubile young college girl to look. And Niche comes off nicely as a more mature and top-heavy Egyptian woman. The rest of the female cast is exquisite...with the only disappointments being blonde knockout Katie Lohman being in a limited role as the spirit of Isis. And the second, Aysia Lee, as the professor's babe-a-licious Asian assistant, who only got to come out of her clothes towards the very end of the film, and then, for just a few seconds. The flashbacks to ancient times show the handmaidens of the sorceress, played by tasty lovelies Nicolette Lupian and Joleen Thorton, who also don't get enough screen time but at least get to do a nice topless dance as the end credits roll.

A definite plus for me is that nearly all of the women look "all natural", that is, no silicone, with Ava Niche and Katie Lohman being the only possible exceptions.

This is a low-budget affair to be sure, and most folks know that before they lay out the cash for the DVD. So you can't complain about the somewhat cheesy special effects. As for acting ability, the only stand-outs are veteran actors Arthur Roberts (as Osiris) and the legendary Richard Lynch, in a role switch for him portraying a good guy as Professor Harwa.

The story, while far-fetched, works well enough to move the film along. The entire movie was shot on video with great skill by Glut, although he obviously suffered the same problems all of us who have ever worked a video camera have experienced....a few scenes seem too harshly lit, and others a little too dark.

All in all, the obvious focus of this film is attractive women in various stages of undress, and in that respect, there's plenty of that and this movie won't let you down. Certainly worth the price paid."
