Movie Reviews

Worth the money, but not a 5 star movie...
Adam P Boots | Valley Village, CA United States | 08/05/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Ok... This is hard to review because the DVD comes with a great soundtrack attached to it that alone is closer to a 5 star CD than a lot of things that have been out. Here is the Tracklisting for the CD:

1. Lookin At Me Sideways - Brother Ali

2. Dead Presidents - Blueprint

3. Real Major - I Self Devine

4. Love Is A Pimp - Atmosphere

5. Miracles - Kice Of Course

6. Hustle (remix) - Murs feat E-40, Chingo Bling and John Cena

7. Walk Like A Man - Murs

8. Underground - Vox Vermillion

9. Miles To THe Sun - Sunset Leagues

10. F**k You Up - 3MG

11. That's On Me (A Tribute To 45 ACP - RIP) - Murs

So what I'm saying is that this CD with 9 new tracks, one track you've probably never heard (if you're a Murs fan) and the title track, is probably a 4 1/2 to 5 star EP. In addition to that, you get the catelog of Murs Videos, which, though VERY low budget are pretty friggin cool in themselves. Then there's the actual movie.

The movie is like the videos. Low budget. It's fairly artsy like almost any short film I've ever seen and I'd have to say that the acting and/or direction is nothing to be writing to the Oscars about, but it's entertaining and worth at least a watch (it's better than Hiero's One Big Trip thing... Ugh...) So what I'm saying is buy this. It's worth it for just the Brother Ali and Atmosphere tracks (let alone almost ALL of the other ones...) If you're into the underground hiphop scene, this is a must own. MUST OWN..."
