Movie Reviews

Beautiful with the sound off
Brian Hunt | Bellevue, WA USA | 01/05/2009
(3 out of 5 stars)

"Like many films in this genre, this one is often better viewed with the sound off. The blu ray transfer is good in most places and some of the cinematography is exactly what you want on a big LCD via blu ray. The narration is pedestrian at best, adding little and sometimes detracting from the enjoyment. It's a bit overwrought and melodramatic. If you can pick it up inexpensively, it does have some impressive eye candy."
Excellent documentary and amazing sound track

"It's one of the best documentary I have seen for while. It shows not only the true source of the Nile but also how the ancient civilization connect the Nile river between life and death for living.

"Amazon" Thanks for fast on time shipping. ...AK. from Dallas,TX

One of the Best IMAX Films
Steven B. Wallach | Austin, TX United States | 08/07/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Over the years I have seen many IMAX films...most were forgettable, a few unforgettable. "Everest" is one IMAX film that still lingers in my memory. This film is almost as good as that film. It is beautiful, educational and exciting. It, at times, kept me on the edge of my seat. My whole family agreed it was a memorable and worthwhile viewing experience. P.S. It also has a wonderful soundtrack."
Excellent adventure!

"Caught this at an Imax Dome theater and LOVEd it!

You really feel as though you are a part of the expidition from the source of the Nile in Sudan all the way to the end in Cairo where it empties into the Mediterranean Sea.

Dangerous, awe-inspiring, and educational. This film achieves in 45 min. what Hollywood only dreams of."
