closer to the books than the 1970s tv episodes. great history lessons of what life was like in the 1930s.

We had a whole group of giggling nine year old girls for a Nancy Drew Mystery Party and after watching the newer the wanted to see the older one too. They all liked watching the mystery, Nancy was her always persistant self and the comedy of Ned's siblings kept the girls laughing. They were facisnated with the black and white compared to the color movies they are more accustomed too.
We were very glad we had this version of the movie.
