Movie Reviews

Offspring home video with amazing stunts
spikespiegel | Virginia Beach, VA USA | 12/12/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The offspring just released yet another great cd, 'conspiracy of one', and to follow it up, they have released this movie which lets you take a surreal look at the band and see some of the most extreme stunts ever. The dvd also contains footage of the band playing as well as outtakes from the video, "The Kids aren't alright." If you like rock n' roll or punk, this is a must have dvd."
Extreme Sports?, Live performances? This is it!
PK | Mexico | 12/29/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The contents of this video are extreme sports, a 'cultural' time with Noodles, the band's lead guitarist, some time with the band's crew and 5 live performances of The Kids Aren't Alright, All I Want, Gone Away, L.A.P.D. and Staring At The Sun.This time, with some music from the CO1 album as the background."
Nothing like the Americana Video
J D | Chico, California | 12/14/2000
(2 out of 5 stars)

"I liked the Offspring's "Americana" Video so much that I wore it out playing it so much. So with my replacement "Americana" video, I bought "Huck It." It is nothing like "Americana." "Huck It" is overproduced with emphasis on special graphics and animation and very little on content or flow. It also did not have any of the entertaining high jinx of "Americana" like the "Beer Situation" or the guy the packs a full tin of chew. It also had very few extreme sports segments. "Huck It" used too many camera filters and distortions when showing the concert at the 13th floor in Santa Barbara. Greg K's golfing indoors segment was not interesting and anti-climactic. Noodles' acoustic segment in the middle of the video was too long and did not flow well. All in all, I'm glad I bought "Huck It" because I am a big Offspring fan, but I think it is a cheap imitation of "Americana" that was overproduced with very little content. Fire the director, producer, and editor and bring back the team that brought us "Americana." Or hire me! Also, its only 36 minutes."
Cool video!!

"OK I don't have Americana video, but I think this still rocks!Great stuff: Band members do extreme sports..(Dexter jumps out of a plane!!that gotta be COOL) Live concerts ...and ofcourse lotta laughs! (Noodles's acoustic segment is great hehe) If you're a REAL Offspring fan, you gotta have one (or more) of these! Not too long though...36 min but it's worth it!"
