Who wants to watch a movie popularizing a guy who robbed banks, no matter how he robbed them. When someone robs a bank, it costs us all money if only because of the inflation factor of more money in circulation that wasn't worked and exchanged for.
To enjoy the movie or watch it you have to twist your wits and somehow agree that robbing banks is OK, or clever, or somehow acceptable or ethical.
What? What a strain it is to do that.
I sure wouldn't want someone to rob me or my bank, no matter how cute he does it.
Well, there is my 2 cents worth.
Robert and Sissy are great actors of course, but who wants them popularizing some shmuck who goes around and steels our money.

Slow going plotline but keep in mind that this about a true story in the 80s. Robert Redford and Casey Affleck shined in this.

We have long enjoyed Redford's movies. Sorta sad that this would be his last. Its just not a great movie and we were left wondering why he would make it? My thought is that Redford identified with the old man who liked what he did and was just good at it. Sound like Redford????

OK one time watch. Not one that we would watch again, but glad we saw it anyway. (gladly local library has it)
