A COCKSURE LOOK AT MAN'S PIVATE PARTS
Alan W. Petrucelli | THE ENTERTAINMENT REPORT (ALAN W. PETRUCELLI) | 04/12/2006
(3 out of 5 stars)

"I'll show you mine if ... Private Dicks is a collection of interviews, shorts, cartoons and ephemera about weenies, willies, trouser trouts, winkie-wankie-woos and flaming love swords - that fascinating appendage dangling between the legs of men that throughout history has caused much flap. So to speak. This documentary is so into dick overload that before it ends, any hard and fast thoughts of Mr. Happy might make you a wee bit bored. Hopefully, this condition will pass. Men spend a great deal of time thinking about their - and other men's - penises, and the gay, straight and transgendered men interviewed here, singularly and in groups, let it all hang out, discussing life, love, size, puberty, erections, masturbation, ejaculations, procreation, infection, impotence, circumcision and just about every wang-related subject. This isn't porno, but a special made for HBO: Viewers do witness a few awesome tools (think baby's arm holding an apple) as well as a Princess Tiny Meat who refuses to show his shortcomings. There's a cocksure positive cheerfulness about the show that is endearing, and, clocking in at 55 minutes, it's neither too short nor too long, but just the right size."

"I found this film to be very informative. Men discussing their most intimate thoughts about a subject that most men don't want to talk about--their penises. There is nothing pornographic or obscene about this film. In fact, there are very few shots of a penis. These are just guys talking about their feelings and experiences. One I found most interesting is a chap talking about how his father walked around the house stroking his penis proudly. I was amazed at how matter-of-factly he talked about this. I would have found it most appaling if my dad had done something like that. Anyway, I gained some insight into my own feeling about penises and the subject of size.
