This is a powerful story about what can happen when an entire nation turns on a single ethnic group--as happened to people from the middle east after 9/11. A young man, with a promising future pursuing the American dream, finds himself a target of suspicion and hate. Even after returning to his ancestral homeland he is always under suspicion by Americans--leading to preventable violence, as the distrust infects both sides.

While the message is insightful for anyone willing to hear the overtones of how hate and distrust of the other is a cancer within society; the action is often slow-moving and misses the mark as a thriller. For me, the valuable glimpse into human nature far outweighed any lack in action.
