"This is a typical Libertad Lamarque film: a middle-aged mother confronts problems of the world. The theme of racial prejudice is the center of the action. Libertad Lamarque does her usual competent job of bringing her character, Laura Garcés, to life. There is lots of melodrama, one well sung tango by Libertad and an ending that teaches a good lesson. It is a dated film but one that I like to watch."
