A Dead Turn Around For A Once Cute Anime
Rich | CA | 07/09/2010
(2 out of 5 stars)

"After seeing the first season set of this entertaining and at first light-hearted series the second season seems to do an almost 360 with it's characters and story-line making the last few episodes a lot more dramatic in the series than I cared for. The story has about five young elementary school girls who have awaken their magical powers through one reason or another and after a few hi jinx and adventures have formed a close friendship between each other, but now a serious unknown agenda in the witches world society seeks to cause catastrophe for the normal human world at least that's how they would have you see the series. Sadly though it just seems to much of a headache to watch these episodes after watching the first thirteen episodes previously and than see the series turn into this. The characters are still cute throughout the series for the most part except in the situation the show puts them in and the animation and soundtrack are still pretty good as expected as well as both the dubbed and subbed voice actors/actresses. As also expected the extras aren't great either just the standard trailers and intro/ending songs but fir the price of the set a little forgivable, so if you already got the first season set than of course finish the set but expect some headaches and annoyance on the turn around of the series...."
