Great great show!

"Seal tends to have a very specific fan base, but anyone who owns even one Seal album is really going to enjoy this concert. I wasn't expecting a big production, and rightly so. Seal does little more than stand on stage grasping the mike stand as he sings. But this show is not about being a spectacle. It's the music that's on display here, and Seal and his four bandmates do such an incredible job playing these songs. Seal's voice is in top form, and the audience is 150% into the show. I was mesmerized during the entire show!

Most of the songs are from Seal IV and Seal II (1994 album), with a few from Seal I. Sadly, there is only one song on here from Human Being. That album definitely deserves much more exposure. The DVD quality is spectacular. The picture is crystal clear...never have I seen a concert DVD that captures the lighting effects so crisply. There is no bleeding of colors, absolutely zero pixelation! It's almost like being there. The DTS sound is amazing...this is how all concert DVD's should be mixed. I wouldn't be surprised if this DVD has better sound than that venue in Paris did!

One word of warning though. says this DVD package includes an audio CD of 14 tracks from the show. That is incorrect. This only has the DVD (and no special features). The only package that has a CD and DVD is the one that comes in a CD jewel case. Search "Seal Live in Paris" under Amazon's "Popular Music" category. I'd actually recommend buying the 2-disc set, as most of the songs are done with a different arrangement. I wish I'd bought that one instead of the DVD only.

Again, a fantastic concert!"
I broke away from dancing to this DVD just to write this rev

"AWWWWESOME! (Normally, I prefer to use that term very guardedly, being the 40 year-old woman that I am.) Ever since the release of his 1991 debut, I have been awaiting the release of this DVD!! I knew it would eventually happen, soon or later; and nearly 15 years later, HERE IT IS! It was worth the wait; this man ROCKS! His back-up band (consisting of four INCREDIBLE musicians) is so incredibly tight; if you didn't know differently, you would swear he's being backed by a full ensemble.

The overall production (audio/video/cinematography) is incredible! We've just purchased a 42" plasma, accompanied by a Devon sound system (!), and I AM THERE, BABY, "LIVE IN PARIS"! (Despite my husband's efforts to convince me, otherwise.) I am there, in person, with the rest of the Parisian audience, singing along and dancing to "Bring It On" and "Love Paradise." I AM one of those people "throwing love to the loveless"! Every superlative you can possibly think of, in terms of incredible songwriting, vocal performance, musical arrangements, camera direction/cinematography, applies. This DVD has not left my DVD player, despite my husband's efforts to convince me, otherwise . . .

My personal favorites: Deep Water, Crazy, Killer, Whirlpool, and of course, as mentioned above, the legendary, Future Love Paradise. As they say in Paris, "C'est Magnifique!"

December 2009 Update! - Love, Love, LOVE!! SEAL was the PREMEIRE EVENT for the opening of the "WaMu Theatre" in Seattle (November 2006). "AWESOME!!!" My husband and I were especially fortunate to have secured tickets to sit in the FRONT ROW to see him, LIVE!! Such an amazing artist; and what a JOY to experience such an amazing VOICE! (After all these years of waiting, to have personally experienced his lyrics, for us, it was truly an "EVENT"! (YES, this time, we REALLY were there to DANCE ALL NIGHT!!) (Please give love to Mr. Chris Bruce, whose bass lines and musical direction are AMAZING!; to Mr. Eric Schm., who is a "Guitar Wizard"; and especially, to SEAL AND MR. TREVOR HORN ("collaboratively"); we're ever waiting . . . we've missed the genius of the two of you, TOGETHER!)! (IT'S TIME!)

"My wife and I are big fans of Seal. We have not had the opportunity to see him Live, so needless to say, when we heard that he was about to drop this Live DVD, we jumped on it. Seal does not disappoint at all. The sound is absolutely outstanding. Those audiophiles that are able to listen to the DTS format will be totally pleased. The set list is incredible as he does most of his biggest hits. With this being his first ever Live DVD, not only should he be pleased, but his fans should be also. I highly recommend this to not only fans of Seal, but to people that love music...period."
