Movie ReviewsOver priced. Tom | Cincinnati, OH | 08/02/2005 (1 out of 5 stars) "I rated this dvd so low because the price is absolutely ridiculous. $200 for a one hour dvd? Charge $25 and people will actually buy this dvd. I saw it for free from a library and wanted to but it, but the cost is prohibative.
This dvd is actually very good. It is great to see American actors doing Shakespeare. American actors doing Shakespeare tend to feel insecure compared to their British counterparts. The actors (Kevin Kline, Liev Schreiber, Charles Dutton etc) in the dvd are top notch and are some of the best Shakepearean perfomers in the USA. John Barton is always fun to watch. If we could only get his "Playing Shakespeare" dvd series released in an affordable edition." |
