Hyper Inflated Ratings. This was complete garbage! Avoid at all costs. 120X speed watching is no help. Best to not ever watch. Keep walking!

The plot concept of Simple Creature has been done many times in films, but this low-budget attempt at it is done smartly and with surprisingly capable, relatively unknown actors. The dialogue is natural and the casting of 'everyday looking' actors makes the film more engaging and realistic. No wild special effects or cinematic action, but many thoughtful themes around humanity, science, and faith. An effective, X-files sort of ending makes sure you have things to ponder afterward. This movie could have been a decent pilot for a TV series as there are plenty of unanswered questions in this somewhat near-future setting, and the character of Em is a likeable lead that I'd like to see what she does next.
