Movie Reviews

Fantastic Soundtrack! The Trashkittens rock!
F. M. Beahaus | Boston | 12/03/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The movie itself was okay. I suppose it was about as good as you could expect for a flying skateboard movie. However, the soundtrack performed by The Trashkittens was absolutely fantastic! A real honest hard drivin' rock soundtrack that really outshines the movie by far. Do yourself a favor and check it out! And somebody get those guys a record deal if they don't already have one!"
HIGH-FLYING FUN!
dirty pete | Oroville CA | 07/09/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I know what it's like to have a flying skateboard, and even though it's a great movie, it's very unrealistic. Me and all my friends have magical flying skateboards and I'll tell you what - this movie is wrong. All magical flying skateboards are tough and don't talk like that Don what-ever his name was dude. Magical flying skateboards rarely talk at all, and if they do, they have tough voices, like Boba Fett's or a wrestler. Watch this movie for fun and laughs, but don't take it seriously."
Strictly for the under 10 crowd
09/25/2000
(2 out of 5 stars)

"There is so little realism in the this movie - that it is strictly for young kids - like under 10. To begin with the star is supposed to be 13 - well, he is about the youngest looking and acting 13 I have ever seen. Also the idea that one can learn enough about skateboarding to win a rather large competition literally overnight, just because you believe in yourself, is quite a stretch. Any kid old enough to watch this movie knows better. The skateboarding and music are about the only good things in this movie."
Worst Movie Ever
Jody Corodey | san jose, Ca United States | 12/08/2004
(1 out of 5 stars)

"This movie took three years off of my life. It was like a horrific car crash that I could not look away from. First of all, Dom Deluise is the voice of a magical talking skateboard. The only way you'll ever see his butt on a skateboard. Second, this movie forgot to have stuff actually happen! Enjoy the montage of the skateboard kid and skateboard playing baseball together ( oh, yes) and then watching a sunset together. There are homeless people on the street, and people sick and dying, but the producers of this movie decided to use their money not on important causes, but instead on this waste of celluloid because they thought they were making citzen kane, or something. This movie hurt me, but I could never hurt it the way it hurt me. With all that said, I say go out and see it anyway. Trust me, you will rate all other movies with this one. And you too will say, "Oh yeah, you think that movie's bad? You should see 'Skateboard Kid'!!!!""
