A very interesting story by Ernest Hemingway. Gregory Peck is young writer more in love with himself than with any woman until he meets Ava Gardner. Gregory Peck and Ava Gardner are on a Safari and Gregory Peck is injured by an animal and waiting for help to come as he remembers his past Fast life to Ava Garner, who patiently loves and cares for him as well as being a good listener. I have read enough Hemingway to see that this parallels with Hemingways's trip to Africa with his 4th wife in the early 1950's. Hemingway's plane crashes and he is badly injured as is Peck and his pretty , petite much younger wife cares for him as does Ava Gardner. It is an interesting movie and the African Bush is full of wild animals, Beautiful to behold. I wonder if one would see that variety now.

Do Not Buy Quality Classics Version

"I bought this movie through an Amazon Marketplace supplier. I got the "Quality Classics" Version. It is unwatchable. The Cover has a close-up of Peck and Gardiner. It is a disaster and do not buy it. I am a huge fan of Ava Gardiner and Gregory Peck and I couldn't get through this."
