Movie Reviews

Peter Weller still kicks a$#...
L. Varnau | Indy | 01/23/2003
(3 out of 5 stars)

"This cool heist flick from the folks at City Heat Productions (the best Direct-to-Video company ever) is chic, action-packed, and highly entertaining. The plot has been seen many times before. A retired jewel theif decides to go on one more big score in order to get his brother out of trouble. The acting could use a little polishing, save for Peter Weller and Bryan Brown, but the rest of the movie is very well-done and nicely polished to create an almost Tarentino-like feel to the whole thing. Sure it's nothing compared to Resevoir Dogs or The Usual Suspects, but it is a very fun flick with twists and turns up till the very end. I enjoyed watching this fun, but ultimitely forgettable flick. Just don't expect any extras on the DVD."
An average heist film, this review may contain spoilers.

"This is basicaly your typical straight to video b-movie where the story seems to be interesting but I might have not been bothered to watch it if it wasn't for Peter Weller. The film starts with a bank robery and they are persued by the cops which then ends up in disaster when an accident happens, there were a lot of surprises that I had not have seen coming and a lot of double crossing and all that crap that you see in every single heist movie which I found irratating. Bryan Brown was also intresting as the enemy who decieves Peter's character any chance he gets and a very hot blond who I did not know which side she was on, she had a relationship with peter's character there is also the person who plays Peter's brother who they bring along with because he seems to be in debt to some mafia guys and owes them alot of money. Overall I thought it was average and I thought that they could have changed the story because some parts were just lame."
