The Coot Club, the first of the two films, sees the main characters introduced to one another, and explains why they're called the Coot Club. This film was released in the 80's but is set decades earlier. The acting is impressive, the story fun and enjoyable, the scenery gorgeous, and the plot and sub-plots interesting. I recommend this film to anyone who enjoys films about a simpler time. No swearing, no Attitude and scene-stealing, no explosions, just a great G-rated film. This film also highlights early conservation efforts in England, and why these efforts were so important. My only disappointment is that no other films (besides these two) in this series were made or released. What a tragedy!" |
