We liked the integration of Police with Fire and Emergency personnel in this show--more so than most shows, including the current Chicago PD,Fire,Med, and Justice. Most of the characters are quite believable. On the down side--too much like the cartoons, often these guys get hurt, then are just fine in the next episode. Overall, one of our most favorite shows.

We watched Third Watch from day one and always felt entertained, sometimes even educated when we viewed it. Now we see familiar faces and comment that he or she was on Third Watch! They have apparently moved on to more successful roles on other TV shows or movies. Such an amazingly talented cast with writing that is way above the norm for television today!

"What on earth were they thinking of when they cancelled this show. Please, somebody with some common sense, get this program out on DVD! A Japanese website has Third Watch on DVD, Sets one and two. (...)I think this is the whole first season. Anyway, I'm going to order and see what I get. The rest of you can go to the website make up your own minds May 1, 2005.

Third Watch LIVES ON!!!

"I was very hurt to see the last episode of THIRD WATCH. My family and I have been faithful viewers of this spectacular show. Alot of stories were never fully panned out. So we the viewers feel cheated. okay at the end Sully spoke what happened to everyone, but it would have been much better to have seen it happen. How can NBC think that by cancelling this great show, we the viewers would continue to watch any other new show that would replace THIRD WATCH. The only show I watch is Law & Order: Trial by Jury. I hope and pray that the series comes out in DVD as well as a CD with all the songs played on the show ASAP. Thank God, that we can all catch it twice a day on A&E. Third Watch will be greatly missed but never, ever forgotten. THIRD WATCH WILL LIVE ON FOREVER!!!"
Best show on TV

"I've watched THIRD WATCH since the beginning. It is well written, well acted & gives us all a sense of what it's like for the brave men and women who are police officers, fire fighters & ems/paramedics.

The shows I loved the most were the ones that paid tribute to all those who lost there lives on 9/11. Of all the shows based in New York, THIRD WATCH gave us all the best personal look inside that tragic event. They delayed there first episode that season in order to re-do the first episodes to reflect on the tragedy that changed our nation.

As I've read, the actors are close to their counter-parts who are consultants on the show. Their emotions were well represented and it was the finest tribute I saw from the television industry.

I am sorry to see the series end and will be waiting for the release of season 1 (and all subsequent seasons) on DVD."
