(4 out of 5 stars)

"A prime example of the average Anime. Very human, fairly sweet, and excellent fighting sequences. Lacking a singular plot, it's mostly revolves around the two main characters traveling old Japan and helping the people they meet. The two ladies being a marshall artist named Lady Meow and a nameless samurai drunkard whom Meow starts calling Ran. I've found it very entertaining.I was planning on buying the entire series as a gift for my mother (we watch anime together and she likes this series also), but it seems incomplete. As of now, there are only four DVDs available. Having watched them, it does lack some sort of ending. So either there are some missing discs, or the series ends kinda abruptly (as some good Japanese AND American series tend to do). A true shame if this is the total of the series. But if I find that it is, I still plan on buying them all for either her or myself. It's not a purchase to regret. If there ARE more, I'd raise my score to five stars on this underrated Anime. It's not fantastic, but it's good in every way."
