Cheesy, but good fight scenes. That's what you get from a T

"A young man who is a lounge singer gets into a fight with some guys and gets beat up. He was fighting to impress a girl, and after seeing him lose the girl wants him to learn Gracie Jujitsu from her father. Her father is played by Lau Kar Wing, and he teaches the kid a few things. The movie all comes down to an Ultimate Fight tournament.
The action is way above average, though don't expect to see much Jujitsu used. The final fight is between Lau Kar Wing's new student and former student. You would think it would be all about Jujitsu, but there isn't any to be found. But it's a great fight so I can't really complain. And there is a lot of grappling, just not any in the final fight. All of the tournament fights are good and that alone makes the movie worth watching. The action is not what I have come to expect from Tony Leung, and it took me a little while to get used to it. The film speed is sped up quite a bit, but it's done in a style that is visually appealing. My only real problem with the action is that the lead actor's punches look weak. But other than that the action is top notch.
3.5/5
The Tai Seng DVD has good picture quality and the subtitles are well written."
