It starts with the difficulties of refugees in Germany: will they be able to stay or will they be sent back? Fariba is in Germany having fled Iran because of a lesbian affair for which she was imprisoned by the authorities, now awaiting her fate at the hands of German authorities. To stay in Germany she takes the place of a young man who died, gets work illegally in a factory where she meets a woman named Anne, and deals with difficulties posing as a man and working illegally. She is neither triumphant nor defeated through this experience, producing a very realistic feeling in an unusual and absorbing story. I liked it very much." Pretty decent J.T.
