Movie Reviews

Dynamic Boxing Drama
Tom Wilson | Los Angeles, CA | 10/16/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is a gritty look at what happens to ex-fighters. The story is well done for a low budget film. It's very realistic and the acting is excellent all around. Great photography an direction is key to a lower budgeted film and both were pulled off extremely well. I strongly recommend WHERE ANGELS DANCE for true film lovers who can appreciate something other that the standard big budget Hollywood films. This is a well written film where characters and story matter and special effects don't."
Gritty urban film

(4 out of 5 stars)

"A friend of mine who represents the film in foreign territories told me that I should take a peak at it. As a director of photography I have worked on numerous films. I was pleasantly surprised that this independent film was done so well. It was solid all around with great photography and direction. The cast had no "name" actors but they were solidly placed around a good sreenplay. The boxing flashback scenes presented in black and white gave the film a gritty feeling and filled in the storyline.
My distributor friend informed me that this film has sold in over 30 foreign territories with many as theatrical releases. This is the type of film that should be in U.S. theaters instead of the junk Hollywood pushes on us. Great Indie film."
