This is a wonderful musical.

My daughters and I waited quite a while for it to become available, and I'm afraid that we will not be swapping it again.

You must watch it from the beginning, as events build on each other. There is terrific music, even for Sondheim. I particularly like the song, "Giants in the Sky" which technically extremely difficult. And who can resist lines such as Prince Charming, remarking to his equally handsome fellow prince, "I was raised to be charming, not sincere."

Despite the fairy tale set up, there are a number of serious themes that are developed beautifully.
