Movie Reviews

Xcellent DVD, not for CGA-heads though
Guillaume Carrier | Montréal, Qc | 04/25/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is a DVD you should buy essentially for music, and especially if you love techno. I mean, you get Kevin Saunderson, Hardfloor and Dave Clarke mixes all on one DVD!! Theses were defining mixes when they first came out, especially the Saunderson and Clarke ones. On top of that, you get the animation which was utterly amazing in 1999, but may be a bit dated to some. It is much much better than what you can get at your local rave by any means. Animations are short clips that fit a single song, and they are not the repetitive and abstract type you found in the early 90s. They are more thematic and tend to tell a mini-story.

All in all a must have for ravers and people looking for the best techno and electro the 90s had to produce. Obviously, people looking for cutting edge 2005 computer graphic animation should look elsewhere."
The most dissapointing CG DVD i've seen

"I have the original mix with out the video and all though its not the best mix I thought (impulsive buying) it may have some cool video effects mixed with it on the DVD. I liked the cover's I gave it a shot. I have never been this disappointed with a computer animation DVD or VHS.

The animation on here is absolutely pathetic and its obvious they threw any 3/D novices very basic animations together on this DVD. The quality is very very compressed looking in many places. I had to write this review because I saw that it had gotten good reviews by others which, I'm not supposed to comment on. I felt so strongly that that I needed to give you my review (my very first). But I just took out this DVD and reviewed it again, and I'm telling you it stinks, its so obvious there was no quality in the production. Its looks like they didn't spend a dime on making this and neither should you!
Again the animations are just so very lame and pointless and rarely go with the mix, and the quality sux."

"This DVD was basicly 3 video's in one. The're 3 diff CGI and music mixes on the disc. The music is down tempo house and trance. Not bad at all. better then I've heard on simalr DVD's. I like using this DVD for parties and when I'm DJing at clubs. If you like to trip out this is a good one to get."
