While enjoyed the storyline, I didn't care for the acting in this heartfelt movie.

Synopsis: Margaret Thomas (Jean Smart) has six wonderful children and a loving, caring husband (Robert Pastorelli). The fact that she is unable to perform some of life's basics--reading, adding, cooking--has never prevented her from being a devoted mother or from raising a happy and close-knit family, albeit an unconventional one. Margaret's life is about to change, though, when her husband falls ill and she is left with more responsibility than the authorities think she can handle. Her children are taken from her and sent to live with foster parents, while Margaret must begin the relentless process of fighting for the right to raise her children herself. Meanwhile, her two sons are getting used to life away from financial constraints and enjoying the more luxurious environment of living with a wealthy family. She has risked everything to get her children back. Will her efforts be in vain?
