This is a great concert DVD and don't hesitate to see it, even if you are not an AC/DC fan. It will rock you!!! ... but if you can locate it on the original VHS, you will find that the picture is much, much better. I transferred my VHS to DVDr, many years ago,and that recording looks better than the official DVD release. The DVD is quite grainy in places, but the VHS was clear. I guess the problem is that they used a different print of the film to master the DVD. Anyway ... if you see a cheap copy of the VHS, grab it and compare it with the DVD. You might get a surprise like I did. I still love this concert, though, and won't get rid of the DVD or the VHS transfer. I wonder if the Blu-ray release looks better. We need someone to let us know!!!

If the characters had never opened their mouths, this would have been a decent movie.
The special effects are good (not great), the music is alright, and the storyline is interesting.
Man, oh man, why did the characters have to talk? Horrible, horrible, horrible dialogue.
If you have not seen a Sci-Fi/Action Flick, since before Starship Troopers, you might enjoy this. But if you have ... your time will be better spent watching a different Stephen Sommer's film.
I believe that every line spoken in this film has been done, dozens of times before and so much better.
Sommers really disappointed me, this time.
"Cameos do not a film make!"

"Gorgo" has been one of my guilty pleasures, for decades. It was very good to see it in widescreen, but the print is horrible. I watch movies through a projector and there is nothing "pristine" or "restored" with this release. Just simply a horrible print, from start to finish.
Yes, it is in widescreen, but the picture has been stretched to make it seem even "wider" than it originally was.
In addition to that issue, it doesn't matter that it is in Technicolor, when the color is so horrible to look at.
I spent most of the film's running time trying different adjustments, to make everything look better. No such luck. I will say that the film was easier to watch on my big screen TV, but that is not where I wanted to watch it
I have seen better prints of "Gorgo" on TV. I don't remember what channel, but there is a much better copy than this release floating around. Maybe, it was on TCM. I don't know. I do know that I will now be watching for it to appear on a broadcast, I will copy it, and stick it in the same box. But, then again, like others have stated, the box artwork is terrible. Maybe, I will make a new cover for the box. I couldn't do worse.
There are a lot of people wanting this film, on Swap, and I am tempted to part with my copy. I can't help but believe that most of those folks are gonna be disappointed when they see the quality of this release. The film itself is just as much fun as I remember, but it is hard to enjoy it when everything looks so bad. I know that there is only a small audience for this flick, but it would be nice if MGM would restore it. They've spent lots of money restoring absolute pieces of crap. They should spend a little on "Gorgo".
I am very happy to say that I got my copy during a big sale on a movie site. If I had paid full price for this VCI release, I would be enraged!

I am constantly amazed by the amount of people on this site, who cannot be bothered to read the description of a boxed set! There is no trickery here! Swap's description clearly states that this is a "serial" collection from the 1930s. The actual box states this, very clearly. Other sites that I checked, including Amazon, all clearly state that this is a collection of movie serials. These people have no one to blame but themselves and it appears there are around 50 of them, since over that many are available to trade. Gee, how proud their mommies must be!
If you collect serials like myself, you know that these titles can be hard to come by, in an "officially" released set. All four of them, for the $5 I spent, is an incredible bargain. I am very happy to have them and they look no worse than a great many of the serials that I have from the 30s. Even if there were better copies of the prints out there somewhere, these serials will never be "restored". There is simply not a big market for them. They are what they are ... a piece of cinematic history, available for those who appreciate such things.
The other reviewers need to take remedial reading classes.

I can't believe that in all of the reviews written here about "Stir Of Echoes" not one single person mentioned or even knew that the script was based on a novel of the same name by Richard Matheson. That fact alone should be enough to get any horror movie fan to check this film out!!! Great book ... great movie ... and, by the way, the novel was written many decades before anyone ever even thought of the idea for "The Sixth Sense". "Stir Of Echoes" cannot be considered as having any relationship to the other film at all. "Stir Of Echoes" came first, by a very long shot! Check it out!!!

I hate when Swap has no photo for a listing! This is an official release, 2 disc set, of "The Wizard of Oz". The cover resembles another 2 disc release that is available at this time on Swap. I wish that I could add the photo to the listing and I would. Great film! I just wanted to let anyone know that has any doubts on what they would be getting that this is an official release and in fantastic shape!
