Quirky little mockumentary about 2 directors making a film about the zombie's way of life. Grace wants the film to be more serious while John is searching for verification of the gruesome reality of brain eating. Starts off a bit slow, as most docu/mockumentaries do. Just setting the scene with several zombies: the leader of ZAG, a floral designer, convenience store clerk, and health food sales person.

The crew finds out about Live Dead, a woodstock for zombies and wish to attend, but it is zombies only. They receive permission and all seems well and good until day 3 and the zombie's true natures begin to surface.

This was a surprisingly good horror comedy featuring Stephen Dorff from Blade. I am really enjoying this genre of horror as they don't take themselves too seriously like most films in the genre. Dorff is a thief (a very bad thief) who ends up trapped on the 13th floor of a Russian office building. He, and his hostages, are then at the mercy of homicidal decendents of Ivan the Terrible. Cheesy goodness continues in the form of mass killings including a disco floor trap.

Dead Fish is a must watch for any Gary Oldman fan. He is nothing short of amazing in this. Very similar to his comedic work in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead.

In this film he plays a hitman who ends up with his cell phone being switched at a train station. He falls in love with the girl who he mixes phones with (although it's her slacker boyfriend's phone). Craziness begins as the boyfriend and his druggy friend get a call about a hit. The best was Gary Oldman busting out in song during a BDSM session. Great supporting cast of Robert Carlyle as a foul mouthed loan shark, Billy Zane as an ultra nerdy hitman assistant/handler, and Terence Stamp as the hitman's target. Fabulous!

Fan*freaking*tastic!! Nazi zombies. Doesn't get much better than that. Although, they are not traditional zombies, more like undead tortured souls. This particular group of Nazi soldiers had been incredibly brutal and greedy and had taxed the local people severely demanding all of their riches. The local peeps finally had enough and fought back and ended up cursing the Nazis. They have basically been trolling the area looking for their lost treasures and killing anyone that gets in their way. Enter a group of medical students away in a cabin on holiday and let the killing begin.

Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer is a cheesy good time and fabulous throwback to 80s horror films. Robert Englund is amazing in this as it's always nice to see him as characters other than Freddy Krueger. The large majority of the film is character development with getting to know Jack and seeing the mutation of Robert Englund's character. The monster slayage is only for about the last 15 minutes of the film, but hopefully, they will consider a second installment with a bit more action.

This was a disappointment and a very sad tribute to the original film, Let the Right One In. It was a bit disjointed & not simply because of the preview scene involving the acid. The storyline didn't seem to flow as easily as the original. I was hoping from the movie posters that the cinematography would be similar as that is really what made the original so hauntingly beautiful. Between the super dark cliche horror movie scenes & the cheesy special effects contact lenses this was really kinda sad.

I was really looking forward to this film. I enjoy most of the Dimension Extreme titles and love other works by the director, Shinya Tsukamoto (Tetsuo the Iron Man). The concept had such promise, a crime drama involving a murderer who kills people in their dreams. Very Dreamscape/Nightmare on Elm Street.

While it was an enjoyable film, I thought it could have been more. The dream killings seem a bit anti-climatic. That's not to say that there's no gore. You get slight glimpses or hints of a man/creature with a knife attacking the people in their dreams, only to have the shot end with them stabbing themselves in real life. And, as usual, some of the Tsukamoto imagery is quite disturbing yet beautiful at the same time.

So, while it was worth watching, it's not really a keeper for me.

Typical slasher film but with minimal blood and violence. Yes, it's horrible that the girl's family was killed by a crazy stalker. Even worse that he conveniently escapes to make it to her prom. Sadly, I was kinda rooting for some of the people to get killed, because, well that at least made this remotely interesting. For an "unrated" film, this was extremely mild. While it was a bit suspenseful (maybe for teenagers) it was incredibly predictable.

A mediocre military paranormal horror flick loosely involving the Djinn. A cocky military runt decides to shoot at an image carved into the side of a mountain. This releases a Djinn and each soldier eventually comes to a gruesome demise while the Djinn makes them hallucinate reliving some of their worst memories. This was just eh. If it's on SyFy and nothing else is on then why not but nothing to actively seek out.

This is one of my favorite horror comedies! Nathan Fillion (Firefly/Serenity) is fabulous as the sheriff who still holds a torch for his childhood crush. The writing style is very similar to Joss Whedon with great one liners. The film does get quite gruesome as it progresses.

This was a great paranormal thriller/horror film. Very similar in nature to J-Horror haunting films. The Tattooist involves a fairly self centered tattoo artist who steals a piece of tattoo equipment that turn out to be cursed/haunted. There is some great build up with the soundtrack and tattoo noise indicating the spirit is near(tapping). I liked that for the most part the gruesome killings involved the spilling of more ink than blood (definitely a neat concept). The young boy who can see/talk to spirits was fabulously creepy in a thug sort of way. It was also good to see the main character try do the right thing in the end, even though his motives weren't really altruistic (just to get the girl).
