I would call this more of a murder mystery with horror elements, rather than a straight horror movie. But the cast is good and the idea is original. The makeup effects are pretty excellent, especially the plasticized cadavers. I enjoyed it.

Just FYI, this is a lovely magical-realist film about childhood experiences told from the perspective of a 10 year old child....but if you are expecting anything resembling horror, this is not your film. It has more fantasy elements than anything. Mental illness and hallucinations, perhaps, but not horror elements.

I thought this was a pretty good movie. Nice atmosphere, original story and creepy to boot. Some of the shots actually reminded me of the look of the Dario Argento flick, "Suspiria." Nora Zehetner acts well (if the name doesn't ring a bell, you may know her and her big brown doe-eyes from the recent season of Grey's Anatomy where she plays Dr. Reed Adamson, one of the resident/refugees from that other hospital that merged with Seattle Grace.)

Definitely worth a rental, and therefore, definitely worth a credit! :)

This was a really well done, interesting and enjoyable movie. It reminded me a little bit of Yellow Brick Road. Give it a shot!

I wouldn't say, as some do, that this was the scariest thing ever made. If you are any kind of a horror fan this movie will not really scare you and you will probably figure out the twist fairly early on. That being said, this is a movie totally worth watching. The performances are 1st rate, the atmosphere is great, there are some genuine laughs in between the creepiness. All in all, I really enjoyed this movie and recommend it highly.

Whoever edited the genre needed to add in "horror." I don't know what else you'd call a movie that has a jacket blurb that states "Neighbor makes Hostel and Saw look like Romper Room."

Synopsis: "A mysterious new girl arrives in a posh suburban neighborhood and quickly sets out to terrorize the town. As she starts breaking into homes and torturing the occupants, they begin to realize that she isn't just another girl next door."

Good movie for gorehounds and/or anyone who's ever wanted to watch a hot, female, serial killer go to town with the red stuff.

I heartily agree with the reviews above. Very unique take on a horror film. I really enjoyed being immersed in the Samoan and tattoo cultures, both of which I knew very little about. Definitely worth seeing!

Ok, this was one F-ed up little movie. I gave it two stars just because I can't really say I "liked" it because it was pretty hard to watch. Not so much for the gore but for the child abuse. But if you're into pushing your limits and F-ed up cinema, then this is the sort of thing for you.
