I never knew this movie existed. I was surprised to see Robert mitchum play a basic character. It was fun to see him in this role. I also enjoyed the boy that played the son in the movie. He played the role so well at times that he provided most of the laughs. So if you are a fan of Christmas movies or you like Robert mitchum then you should watch this.:)

I like this movie. Christian Slater is good at being a smart ass...but you can't help it but smile. He makes this movie very entertaining. Samantha Mathis is good too but at times I keep thinking she is Winona Ryder because her hair is as dark as hers. You have to be a fan of either actor or you probably won't like this movie. They do deal with some serious issues at school but you can understand where the kids come from and such.
