I knew part of this was computer generated, but I didn't realize the entire movie was. I figured the special effects & monster would be...but all of the actors and everything was like a fancy cartoon. I kept thinking it was like a grown-up Shrek movie. I didn't really like it and prefer the older Beowulf movies to this one, hands down. I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone other than a teenage boy.

This is not what I expected it to be. It is kind of a humorous telling of how the Brothers Grimm lived their lives before the writing of the tales, and how some of the tales came about. It has a lot of parts that are supposed to be funny, but we just sat here and rolled our eyes. Like my husband said, it's not something to recommend to friends any time soon. The only consolation for me was that Heath Ledger is in it.

This is a great who-done-it thriller...I kept changing my mind until the end. I like the southern setting and I love that it was written by Billy Bob Thorton (he's one of my favorites). It's also a great change of pace for Keanu Reeves. I'd recommend this one.

I didn't know much about this movie, so I didn't have very high expectations. Let's just say that this was a spectacular movie! I loved everything about it. It was like someone reading you a story, and the twists and turns are amazing. I highly recommend this one.

This movie was s-l-o-w and a bit too "artsy" for me.

Really enjoyed it -- very tense movie. Fair warning -- Liam Neeson has a small 5 minute part in the whole movie. Good thing Russell Crowe was the star. :)

I didn't know much about this movie going in, but I thought it was fantastic! My sons (ages 8 & almost 10) loved it as well. I'm sure we're going to keep this one.

This movie is set in the Ozarks and the details are so realistic. Not your typical Hollywood movie. The storyline is slow -- but it is still hard to keep up with what is going on. Poverty, brutality, and drugs are just a few of the challenges the main character (portrayed by an incredible pre-Hunger Games Jennifer Lawrence) faces.
