Great action film, albeit about an hour longer than it needs to be. After a while you just want it to wrap up. Still, it's considered a modern classic, and is well worth a watch.

I didn't expect much of this movie because I'd honestly never heard of it--but I was pleasantly surprised. The acting is superb, the action is fairly non-stop and the premise an interesting one. It was perhaps a tad longer than it needed to be (or could have just been tighter in the storytellilng), but I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it to fans of suspense/murder/mystery/action.

Graphic and realistic, but too long and preachy. Could have benefited from some tightening up. Otherwise, a good representation of combat in Vietnam.

Lethal Weapon 4 (1998)

The not-so-subtle anti-2nd Amendment bias of this movie (such as a huge poster in the police station & endless verbal barbs) is tiresome. If that doesn't bother you, you may enjoy the non-stop action and explosions.

Well, it's simply bad. Overlong in the extreme, you find yourself just wanting it to be over. Simply another modern exercise in idiotic premises, bad writing and CGI.

Perhaps not as good as its predecessor, "Band of Brothers," this landmark work by Steven Spielberg is still as top-notch as they come. Gritty, historically accurate and stunningly film--a real tribute to the Marines who conquered the Pacific during WWII, fighting an implacable enemy who was willing to fight to the death.

Highly recommend.

Sorry...while this isn't the worst rom/com in the world, it certainly isn't very good.

It's waaay too long; it's predictable; you could drive a Humvee through the holes in the story; and it just requires too much suspension of disbelief.

Hough and Duhamel are good in their respective roles, but they just can't overcome this dog of a script.

McConaughey is badly miscast in this superficial actioneer. Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt is a polished, cultured and mature man....McC plays him like a college frat boy. Lots of CGI and historical b.s. (the Confederacy had no ironclads in Richmond at the end of the war; even if they had, such a vessel could not have gone across the Atlantic. They weren't constructed for that.)

Be ready to suspend your disbelief, by the bucketful.

Incredibly beautiful film, with rock-solid (and classic) performances by Jean Arthur, Van Heflin, Jack Palance and -- of course -- Alan Ladd as the mysterious gunfighter who wins the heart of a prairie family. Long considered as a contender for the best Western ever made, "Shane" is a tribute to both fine story-telling (the novel was by Jack Schaeffer) and blockbuster movie-making (George Stevens at his best).

Ladd, often scorned for being wooden (the studio forced him into that mold), just radiates danger, and both the barroom brawl he engages in and the final shootout in Grafton's saloon are two of the most iconic and memorable moments of the film.

Highly recommended for all ages -- especially for young people, who know nothing about this style of movie-making and story-telling.

Predictable, but still vastly entertaining, mostly because of the chemistry between Ford and Heche. Not a classic by any stretch, but easily good fare for one night of escapism. Good movie.

Actors: Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar
Release Year: 2011

One of the best of the Hindi films within the last 20 years. Beautifully photographed in exotic and appealing locations; terrific stars, particularly Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif; and fun story line (one last "road trip" for three old friends, one of whom is getting married). This movie also broke the Bollywood mold when its two leading stars actually kissed.

Overall, a delightful and entertaining movie.
