Vintage television at it's finest! You can't get more classic. By today's standards, the themes seem a little tame, but it's all in the presentation. You *can* have a quality program w/o using swear words, and you *can* have action and drama w/o pregnant teens, hundreds of spent shell casings and ethnic terrorists. :-) Good clean fun.

Who doesn't like the Andy Griffith show? Aunt Bea makes the whole program, not to mention Don Knots. I love seeing those old cars. It was a more simple time with simple problems, but Andy Griffith handles them all with wisdom and a steady hand. It's refreshing to watch. No stress, no pounding heart from the drama of a shoot-out or a bloody but improbable injury. The expression of good values on tv seems to have fallen by the wayside -- Andy can bring that back into your home.

Leading candidate for Most Hilarious Horror movie! If you love campy screamers, you need to see this movie. Favorite line: upon entering a disheveled room liberally sprayed with blood, female lead says, "OH MY GOD!" male lead says, "what? what?" she replies, "The feng shui of this room is TERRIBLE!"

The special effects and CGI are much better than you'd expect with the exception of *really* stretchy flesh.

As always, Whoopi Goldberg is great. Danny Glover's part is somewhat less important to the story, but his flashbacks do serve to show how far society has come. This movie was categorized as a comedy, but it's not really very funny. There are some funny parts, but I'd call it more of a slice-of-life drama than anything.

Very good performances by all three of the main actors. The movie shows how the bus boycott in Montgomery affected the daily lives of the people living and working there. I think the movie conveys the attitude of men v. women and white v. black very accurately. If you like this movie you may also like Corrina, Corrina starring Whoopi Goldberg.

This is a timeless movie theme! The political commentary and the media sarcasm are very much topics of the current day! This movie is not dated at all in content, except the power of the press also applies to the internet these days. Some of the dialog could have easily been used in the speeches of the most recent election! Good Movie.

Really young kids, especially those who love animals will LOVE this movie. Older kids and adults who watch it might be mildly entertained the first time. For those individuals who are well educated in farm life and horses it's a smelly pile of doodoo. There are a LOT of continuity problems, and it's pretty clear they are using multiple animals in the part of Stripes. I thought at one point that they were using one zebra and several white horses/ponies with zebra make-up, but some websites I read do not support that idea. I'm so glad I didn't buy this movie!

America's Favorite Funnyman! That is so true. I remember watching this show as a kid with the whole family laughing. Funny comedy for all ages without the modern introduction of swearing every other word.

This production is Digitally Mastered and includes interactive menus and scene index. Some of the funny skits included are:
How to make a salad
Mr. Lasagna
Do it yourself trailer home
Deadeye and the Indians
Clem the dentist
Clem the painter

The characters you might remember:
Junior (the mean widdle kid)
Freedie the Freeloader
Clem Kadiddlehopper
George Appleby
Sheriff Deadeye

A television series MUST SEE for any kid crazy about horses. The acting among the second tier stars leaves a little to be desired, but Alex and Henry do a great job. The training of the horses seems to be top notch, or else they have some excellent doubles and wonderful editing! The filming is done in different locations, giving the show a natural feel. Great for kids, or those of any age that grew up loving The Black and Alex Ramsey.

A pretty good version of a literature classic. This movie would be a great addition to a homeschool study program for comparing and contrasting literature v. film making. How they differ, and why. The movie itself is pretty good, and holds up to the test of time. The film quality is a little rough, but technology has come a loooong way since the 30s!
