Any interest in discussing working out one or more swaps on some of the public domain horror / bulk horror or cult box sets? At $3 per credit, some of these (commonly 10/12 disc sets, Meadow Creek/Echo Bridge) work out to a $30 to $36 equivalent but sell new for much less, so a reasonable dollar quasi-equivalent price on these used might work out to closer to a 1 for 4 / or 1 for 3 something in that range based on what they sell for used. Not trying to circumvent the wishlist system or not ordering off the Tower so SADVD can get its postage and per order fees, but thinking maybe an exchange of messages to work out a similar credit or better (by better I mean less credits, not more) offer on some of these sets might help make some trades happen in these type of larger sets. I am thinking along the lines of I order a set you have posted on your tower and you order a set I have posted on my tower after we work out an agreeable swap. Something like that. Like I order 12 credits woth from you, you order 12 credits worth from me or thereabouts. Please Note: The Wishlist is dynamic and continuously updated as people add / remove titles they want. if any of these are wishlisted whoever is first on the wishlist obviously gets the first offer for the title Again, I'm NOT interested in any circumvention of the wishlist process. Not allowed, there is a rule against it. I'm interested in trading for things on your -Tower -. The Rule: "You may not ask for a Wish Listed item unless you are already first in line for that item. That means that a member may not solicit a shipment of one or more Wish Listed items out of turn. (Senders who offer Wish Listed items as part of multiple-item shipments in the Wish List Multiples Thread are not subject to this rule - those are offers by senders, not solicitations by wishers.) No member may post asking for any (or multiple) Wish List items for which he or she is not already #1 in the Wish List queue." I think an example of this rule is one can't be a jerk and offer (solicit) another member to do something that circumvents the wishlist process, like for example sending someone a pm and asking if they would send 'DVD X' for three extra credits instead of sending it to someone that has wishlisted it, or post a list of titles you offer something extra to get titles you want shipped to circumvent the wishlist process. Believe me, I get the wishlist. I have titles I wishlisted in 2011 I'm not first in line for yet, and I have titles I've wishlisted that I moved up quickly and they came right away. So, to be clear - I'm asking if someone wants to swap something posted on their -TOWER- available for trade. (If a title was wishlisted, the title would be reserved for whoever wishlisted it for up to 48 hours, then it goes to the next person who becomes #1 on the wishlist, etc.) Below are some of my intrerests (I'm not asking for any of these specifically. In particular, if someone else already has one of these wishlisted. Below are examples of the types of titles I would be interested in trading for if they are not wishlisted by someone else and are posted in the system and available for trade, not wishlisted. I'm not asking anyone to ship any of these titles or offering more than to discuss a potential trade on something you have posted on your TOWER you would like to trade I have a couple of 32 / 40 film sets posted that are 10 or 12 credits, so was thinking of maybe swapping some 10/12 credit equivalents from Tower posted DVDs might encourage some trading in these types of relatively large credit sets with public domain / bulk budget films when the credits don't align with market prices for the sets new? Interests: A main interest is public domain / inexpensive bulk horror or cult multi sets involving multiple credits such as these (I linked the first 10 or so titles, the beginning number is the # of credits in the set per the database; the list is alphabetical. These are examples, not necessarily specific titles I'm 100% willing to trade for.) I may wind up with some huge credit box sets I'll have a hard time trading, but the lure of cheezy cheap horror flicks has me flying close to the flames. The type of "trade" you are proposing is against the swap rules. You should reword your post or risk being suspended. |

Also noticed you're asking for some that are wish listed. Essential Art House - 50 Years of Janus Films for example is a Criterion with many wish listers. Public Domain from Mill Creek Vs. PD from Criterion Collection are not the same. Best thing to do is change your posting to offering your sets for half the credits. Maybe you'll get a taker (maybe not) but it would be within the Swap rules. Then keep your eyes open for another member making the same kind of offer with their PD collections. I posted the Rule I'm familiar with. I'm not trying to ask anyone to trade a wishlisted title, zero interest in doing that or in any way circumventing SADVDs fee structure.
