Comedy? I don't think I laughed once. or even smiled.
I was expecting this great chemistry between Fey and Rudd, and instead got two characters who didn't seem to click much past the bedroom. Very disappointed- I waited a long time with this on my wish list, expecting a great movie. I did make it to the end, but wondered why. Lily Tomlin's character was the highlight of the movie.

A wonderful movie for the young (even 4 years old) , not so old, and parents.

A true story of a friendship between a cat and dog. All the 'scary' moments are brief and always turn out ok.

There is a birth scene, but it happens very quickly and is not too graphic.

I can't tell you how many times we've watched it over the years. Very good movie!

What a great movie! Chrissa is in fourth grade, and must start a new school.
She tries what her grandma told her- friendship starts with Hello. But the three meanest, rudest girls are constantly cutting her down and laughing at her.

I watched this with my ten year old daughter, and while we were fighting tears one minute, we were also chuckling when it showed what Chrissa really wanted to do to these girls.

Very realistic, honest story line, although it has a predictable, sappy ending.

A MUST SEE for all pre-teen girls and their mothers! This movie will start conversations.

Watching this movie, it takes a few minutes to realize that this is not Liz Lemmon (Thirty Rock)-
While it is also, not a movie up for any awards, I rather enjoyed it! It was nice to be able to not have to think much while laughing at a few, very funny spots. Tina Fey is always a great actress, and thankfully Amy Poehler was not like her television personna on Parks and Recreation.
Tina and Amy make a great team, and throwing the goodlooking Greg Kinnear in there is always a treat.
Predictable ending, too bad, but this movie should be on your wish list. Not a bad waste of time!!

Very disappointing!
A 42 minute 'recap' of all the seasons best, but if they had wanted to do it in 20, they could have-
Carol talks, answers questions with her great sense of humor, but way too much talking, not enough "Show stoppers"-
Vicki looks bored, Tim is hilarious, Harvey tries... not worth the months of waiting for this wish list dvd!

Release Year: 2011

Four stars. I enjoyed it, while I have a hard time sitting still for most movies, this one had me entertained.
GREAT twists, with a little humor, not the forced stuff Steve Carrell usually does. I didn't enjoy the premise
of searching for girls for sex, and how the movie portrayed how desperate many women are. But the
chaotic scene near the end was worth the whole movie. Misunderstanding and noncommunication results so many times in our lives like this scene. ok, I'm not a great writer, but this one is worth watching.

This movie is GOOD! I was really sucked into the story, and believed that these characters were real. Told from the memories of Rose, played by the ALWAYS good Annabeth Gish, a 13 year old girl, living in 1950s with a not very normal family. Mom wants to and always sees the good in every situation, even if it means ignoring the bad. The scene with the broken dishes broke my heart. Dad is a WWII vet, and has flashbacks. He's obsessed with the military and their secrets in the desert, near LasVegas. He's also a drinker, who gets violent when drunk. The two sisters add a darling element- especially when they sing.
The Aunt Starr adds a splash of excitement to Rose's life, a little more than she expects.
Great chick flick- but teens may also enjoy relating to Rose's life. I didn't find the PG13 rating offensive- drinking, two mild violence family fighting scenes, some language.
This is a movie to see.

With Ben Stiller in this movie, I thought I couldn't lose trying this one out.

This DVD has the kind of humor that makes your mouth hang open in shock before you dare to laugh.
Hillarious! Well directed. While I couldn't figure out why this couple was married, I realized that I shouldn't try to find the "true meaning" of this movie.

Sit back with someone you enjoy being with, and be prepared to laugh and enjoy a movie.

When you watch Will Ferrell, you expect the zany, wacky comedy that he is best known for.
You will not get that in this movie.
PLaying an alcoholic man, who loses his job, wife, car and much more in a 48 hour period of time, he must get his act together with all his 'junk' belongings on his front lawn.
Amazing movie. You still get some chuckles, more real life chuckles, a few sniffles, and a few tears, the ending leaves you satisfied. Not too predictable, not too and they lived happily ever after.
Could do without the one sex scene in my opinion. Language isn't too bad. Definatley has me thinking today. 5 stars from me.

Wow. 5+++ stars
I Love Kathy Bates, no matter what role she takes.
This movie is not a disappointment.
The characters are realistic, the pace of the movie is such that you are not bored, and not overwhelmed by too many characters to remember.
Throw in some unexpected details, and you have one of the BEST movies I've seen in a long time.

Heathers (Ws) (1999)
Actors: Winona Ryder, Christian Slater, Shannen Doherty
Release Year: 1999

Comedy?
I watched this thinking it was going to be a highschool drama.
While I was shocked (mildly amused) at the plot line, I have to say it was an interesting movie.
I love Winona Ryder's acting skills, and wanted to see her at work in her early years.
She didn't disappoint!

I guess I prefer factual films- I found lots of holes in the plot, found most characters flat and uninteresting, other than Christian Slater... who outdid himself!

It's an interesting movie to spend ninety minutes with but I wouldn't let a middle schooler watch it- language, sexual talk and scenes and that whole familiar highschool attitude.

Adding my five stars to the reviews.

Unexpected ending, which I Love, The best acting by Busy Philipps, and Erika Christensen- a very wrenching, real story line.
I thought the police department actors could have used more polishing, but not enough to wreck the film.
Watch it. With kleenex near.

Same here! WAtch this one! The actors are so good, that these appear to be real people just living their lives. Or trying to live their lives. They don't ask for much, just for their family to be together and be happy. Struggling with emotions that no one wants to admit, talk about or even experience, the characters are on a journey.
Excellent, excellent movie!!

Ryan Reynolds at his cuteness... he can carry a movie, even if you mute it.
But I found the plot line predictable, the humor, Predictable, and the ending... you got it, Predictable.
I thought it tried too hard to be funny.
Love Ryan and Amy- worth watching just for their acting abilities.

A fairly basic plot line, with good supporting actors around her make for a decent movie-
I recommend watching it.

I wanted to see Scarlett before she became a Big Star. I wasn't disappointed. This is a very good movie. Although the ending is very sappy and disappointing and doesn't fit with the rest of the movie, I would recommend it. Put it on your- I'd like to see it. But not your I GOTTA see it list. I had to have the volume up louder than I care to so I could hear Scarlett's gravely voice give narration. It's rated R, only because of one brief sex scene, and a lot of swearing. A Lot of swearing.
