Clever, warm story about a chance romance that has such a strong impact on the hero that he goes to great lengths to try to make the one-nighter into a permenant relationship.

Amusing use of the "nobody notices repairmen theme". Good date movie.

All the romance and comedy, but without the Hanks & Ryan

""101 Ways..." is the perfect movie for those who can handle the shock that there's more to romantic comedies than Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Love's long and winding road has more speed bumps than E-Z Passes. What makes "101 Ways..." special is that it's a story of a small town girl with big city dreams-or is it a big city girl with small town dreams-trust me-the lead's a girl (Watson) and there is a dream sequence (the hottest supermarket checkout you'll likely see). Where was I? What makes this movie special are all the unique characters Watson comes across as she tries to find Zen in love, job, and car ownership. From the over protective mother to a fatherly police officer. From a gigolo pilot to a lovelorn cop. From a crappy job to even crappier jobs. Watson encounters a cast of characters (some so special they could warrant their own film) and quirky situations that she struggles through in funny and surprising ways. One last note. Kudos to the filmmaker for a making an independent film that doesn't take place in NYC or LA and doesn't involve guns. This film is a refreshing change of pace.Call it last year's "Big Fat Greek Wedding" - only with more Volvos and less Greeks."
The movie is Great...the DVD was HORRIBLE!!

"OK, I'm a huge fan of this movie. The movie itself is interesting and funny. I am the moderator and creator of the Yahoo Group devoted to Ken Marino (he plays Officer Russotelli in this movie), so it is not like I WANT to say anything negative about this movie. But, I feel completely ripped off and no one else reviewed the DVD version yet...so I feel morally obligated to. I got my DVD 2 days ago and I am sooooo annoyed! The movie itself seems to play OK (not the best quality I've ever seen but it's OK) but the extras (which is why people generally buy the DVD in the first place) are TERRIBLE!! I will get to the problems in a moment. I first want to tell you that on my Yahoo Group, I did a post asking if anyone else had gotten this DVD. If so, how were their extras? I got some responses and all said that the extra features were as bad as mine, so my complaints are not isolated to my DVD. OK, here are the issues:A. The trailer had no sound at all.
B. The picture quality of the Deleted Scenes was so bad, that you could barely watch it...it had all those digital looking squares. It was worse than watching a 5th generation VHS tape (taped on SLP mode!). No joke.
C. The deleted scenes froze up AND the sound quality was ATROCIOUS! Every other word was muted (it was all choppy, so you couldn't follow the dialog.)
D. Not to be picky but I'm mad, so I'm telling it all. For what they are charging for this DVD, the case could have been at least somewhat decent quality. I thought all DVD cases were generally the same but this is junk...AND, the picture on the front cover is all blurry and looks like it was printed on a (bad) color printer. These people have some nerve putting out such an inferior product.I thought venting would make me feel better, but it didn't. Only a refund at this point would."
I loved it!

"I loved it! Thought the characters and the dialogue were fantastic...very clever... Wonder why Hollywood continues to feed us junk these days instead of creative writing like this! Would definitely recommend...especially to anyone who has lived in a big city before!"
