Had its moments and lots of stars that you know from over the years. Worth a watch but not a keeper or worthy of a rewatch!

Not nearly as good as I had hoped. The movie really took a dark turn about half way through. I thought the best part was the sound track. I really enjoyed the music.

Boogie nights is a delightful romp through a time when men wore bell bottom pants and we all danced under disco balls. It’s also about making adult flicks! Burt Reynolds is so funny as Jack Horner, your typical “dirty old man” who loves the lifestyle he can afford. Julianne Moore is the queen bee and mother hen. Rollergirl, portrayed by Heather Graham is naďve with a lot more going for her than most realize, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman had the nerve to portray an unusually pathetic gay character (and yet it never hurt his chance to earn an Oscar later for his role as Capote). But Mark (Marky Mark) Wahlberg steals the show with his innocent to ultra street wise porn star role. And they say it was only a prosthetic! Boogie Nights is fun!

Greatest Film Ever Made!
Aw Hamlyn | Brisbane, Australia | 08/05/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I am a firm believer that Boogie Nights is in fact the greatest film ever made. Every performance is superb; the direction is outstanding; the styling is flawless.

But what really makes this odd film work so seamlessly is in the way it portrays community so wholly and so beautifully. For all intents and purposes you shouldn't like these people, but you can't help but love them.

The ensemble cast is amazing, the standout being Julieanne Moore, heartbreakingly good as the troubled porn star den-mother, Amber Waves.

This Blu-Ray is a must for any fan of the film. The vision and sound quality is fantastic, and the extras are fascinating, particularly the John C Reilly 'behind the scenes' stuff.

Get it - get it now!"
