This terror plotline with a foreign twist was very strong with some slowdown near the end. A must watch for horror fans!

The Chernobyl Diaries is the radioactive waste of the horror genre. It was slow to get going and, when it did, the scares were predictable. They were primarily based on something happening suddenly and loudly as opposed to the content itself being the scary thing.

Also, the filming was very dark in many points in the movie. In fact, it is safe to say that the dark was probably the scariest thing of the whole movie....the "what is there that you can't see" type of suspense.

There is only one part that even faintly creeped me out and I already knew it was coming thanks to the back of the DVD cover.

If you are hungry for a good horror, steer clear of this one...or you might get radiation poisoning.

I thought this was a cool flick!

I will admit I had doubts about this one in the beginning but it turned out to be a really neat movie.

I do not believe the radiation levels would be safe but that's the movies. The guide has an (understandable) accent and there are some subtitles.

Has some decent creep value along with a bear and a pack of dogs/wolves lurking about.

Some things were a bit off and the group does some dumb things but overall it was worth watching.

If you ever go to Russia do NOT take the Chernobyl tour, it could be hazardous to your health.
