Borrowing from Amazon's review "Best buddies Dustin, Albert and Mark are twelve year old boys looking forward to a summer of fun in 1970. When Dustin mows the lawn of seventy-five year old Jonathan Sperry, a man he has seen at church, a unique friendship develops. What happens the rest of this summer is something Dustin and his friends will never forget."
Very good movie for the family. Heartwarming. Set in the 1970's. I would highly recommend it!

This is a good movie with a good message of forgiveness and living the Christian life. Jonathan Sperry (Gavin Macleod) starts a Bible Study in his home for some neighborhood boys around the age of 13. He uses object lessons to teach them godly attributes. He interacts with the boys meeting them at their local pizza shop and buying pizza for them. The Bible study grows. There is a mystery, why is Mr Sperry's neighbor (Robert Guillaume) so mean? why does he seem especially hostile to Mr Sperry and why does Mr Sperry continue to do nice things for him?
