Syanora, Shadow

"This DVD is a must for all Sonic fans. It all starts after Chaos is defeated. Sonic's helping to clean up. Eggman, however, finds his grandfather's journal and learns about an ultimate life form named Shadow. Eggman goes to free Shadow, but is shocked when he thinks it's Sonic! Shadow agrees to help Eggman. Sonic is blamed for Shadow's crimes and is arrested and sent to Prison Island. While there, Rouge and Shadow come to get the Chaos Emeralds. After Sonic gets out, he confronts Shadow - and learns that the island's going to blow up! Plus, to make matters worse, Chris is missing and Rouge is trapped! Sonic and the others are forced to leave. Thankfully, Shadow saves Rouge and Chris, taking them to Space Colony ARK. Sonic has to hide from G.U.N., and Knuckles finds Eggman's secret base! Then, Eggman uses the Eclipse cannon on ARK to blow up half the moon! Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, and Mr. Tanaka journey to ARK, and they find Chris and Shadow. Chris is ok, but Eggman takes the final chaos emerald - and activates a crash course that'll destroy Earth! Chris talks Shadow into helping Sonic stop ARK. While Sonic and Knuckles deactivate the emeralds, Shadow fights the Biolizard. Then, the Biolizard fuses to ARK and makes it continue on its crash course! Sonic and Shadow go super to defeat the Biolizard and send ARK back into orbit. Though Shadow's fate is unknown, he doesn't make it back...
This DVD was a real tearjerker and really pulled on some heartstrings. I absolutely loved it, from start to finish. Sonic's last line was especially memorable: "Syanora, Shadow the Hedgehog.""

"Sonic X is the newest animated series of our favorite blue anthropomorphic hedgehog, and the first one from Japan (If you don't count the movie) That's right! An anime! If anyone cares, it's dubbed by 4Kids, but they actually did a pretty good job, unlike what happened to One Piece.

Sonic X's story is a bit different; In the first episode Sonic and the gang are on their world (Unnamed, but I call it Mobius like in the comics), and trying to rescue Cream the Rabbit from Eggman, who has also stolen a Chaos Emerald. When Sonic tricks Eggman's robots into firing at the power control at Eggman's base, the Emerald causes Chaos Control which sends the crew to a parallel universe: Earth! Sonic meets up with local kid Chris Thorndyke and must lay low while trying to find his friends! However, after saving the day from Eggman multiple times, it becomes quite obvious to the people of Station Square that these human-like animals are around, and they welcome the heroes with open arms.

Volume 8, Project: Shadow, is Sonic X's adaptation of Sonic Adventure 2 (And the Gamecube remake: Sonic Adventure 2 Battle). It contains Episodes 33 to 38, the entire Shadow Arc.

After the defeat of Perfect Chaos, Eggman hacks into GUN's computers, and finds the diary of his grandfather, Gerald Robotnik. (Revelaing that Eggman is from Earth and not Sonic's World) Afterwards, he breaks into the base at Prison Island and releases his grandfather's greatest weapon, Project: Shadow! However, it turns out that Shadow is not a weapon, but an artificial hedgehog with the ability to use Chaos Control! After teaming up, Shadow steals the green Chaos Emerald from Capital City, and the media believe it was Sonic. (How they could msitake the two in broad aylight, I don't know. If it was night, I'd forgive them, but it wasn't) GUN captures our favorite hero, but he breaks out and escapes through Capital City, where he meets Shadow. Interrupted by GUN and once again arrsted, Sonic is taken to Prison Island. At this point in time, Eggman attempts to steal the Master Emerald once again, but Knuckles shatters it, preventing him from doing so. It's thwe Chaos Arc all over again as Knuckles hunts the pieces down!

Later, Shadow has led Eggman to the Space Colony ARK, and begins to explain the weapon pwoered by Chaos Emeralds: The Eclipse Cannon. With all the Emeralds, it could wipe out a whole planet! Rouge the Bat overhears and teams up with the two to get the two Emeralds on Prison Island. Unfortunately, Amy and Tails are also on the island, brekaing SOnic out. Afterwards, Shadow fights SOnic but leaves as a bomb he set goes off, and the heroes barely escape! Chasing down Eggman to his base, the group launch into space and the ARK, where the final showdown is held!

Knuckles gets the Master Emerald fixed as Sonic ifs launched into space to be left drifting alone as he dies a painless death. But all is not lost! Using a fake Emerald that tails made, Sonic Chaos Controls his way to safety and destroys the Cannon! In a final race/fight Sonic and Shadow settle their differences upon realising the ARK is falling to earth! It's a race against time, they have exactly 24 minutes to save humanity! Can they make it to the core and shut off the ARK, or will the mysterious Bio Lizard halt their progress? Find out as they try to stop the...Final Hazard!"
Sonic Adventure 2 Adaptation!

"To start things off, let me just say that Sonic Adventure 2, or SA2, is my absolute very favorite video game. EVER. Better even than Pokemon! (For me, that is definitely saying something)

While there were still some differences between SA2 and the Sonic X adapt, I have to say I loved it. Still the same blue blur that rocked the world with a Sonic Boom 15 years ago. Amazing. 15 years, and he's still making new game-totally awesome. Despite what those so called 'profession' reviewers say, I loved the new Sonic '06 game, Sonic Heroes was immensely fun, (Who couldn't love it? Totally awesome Neo Metal Sonic claiming that he was 'the one true Sonic.') and Shadow the Hedgehog had an awesome story.

But, now for the review. The Project Shadow SA2 adapt is probably one o the deepest Sonic stories ever. Shadow the hedgehog is a Mewtwo-like character, planning to gain revenge for the death of his best and only friend-a girl named Maria.

The military, GUN, mercilessly murdered her, and now, Shadow aims for revenge! Although, in the dub (English translated version is what 'dub' means) Maria is apparently arrested. Well, thats what some people have said anyway. IMO (In My Opinion) the dub implied it well enough that Maria was shot, and not arrested (They never explicitly said she was killed, but they never say she was arrested, just taken away. Of course, that could be a metaphor, and they showed a scene with the GUN soldier with a, duh, shotgun, and Maria...eh, I won't spoil it) So, yes, Maria died.

Its very emotional, (Though not as much as the game) and very, very good. Many scenes are very good, one in particular where Knuckles hijacks a space shuttle becuase the Master Emerald flew out the window. Strange, I know xD.

There is also a very cool battle between Sonic and Shadow as well. Very fun, so don't miss it!

So, a brief and spoiler free summary of the DVD? Sure! Why not? Sonic has been framed by a mysterious black hedgehog, and is on the run form the military. Meanwhile, this same hedgehog teams up with Dr. Omele-I mean, Eggman, and Rouge the Bat. When a dangerous space station known as the ARK prepares to fire a cannon into earth, can Sonic stop it? And what does a professor named Gerald and a girl named Maria have to do with this? Why, watch and you'll see~!

Despite the editing that the dubbers did to it, its still very, very good, but the game itsdelf is the very best. If you want the absolute ultimate SA2 experience, then just go buy the game itself.

All in all, this is a very deep story and any respectable Sonic fan should watch this DVD. And as a side note, fans of SATAM never fear, for a SATAM DVD has been released! To anyone who's missed the 'way past cool' Sonic the Hedgehog Freedom Fighter, buy that DVD as well as this one.

Oh yeah, the moon gets blown up.

Until next time! Sayonara, readers!"
